Reason

I just wanted to take a minute and first of all thank everyone who is reading my posts and sharing them. Without you my reasoning for doing this would not be accomplished. So with all of that being said, I want to explain my reasoning and my why for starting this blog.

Ever since I was little I had a passion for writing and wanted to be a writer but then as I got older I figured it was unattainable and writing went on the back burner. Every now and then I would get a journal and write some stories or just write about life but I would never stay with it for very long. It was not until I moved back to Florida in 2018 that I felt a strong urge to write again and possibly even do more with that but considering my situation it was pushed back again. Fast forward to late June 2019 I felt the urge again and this time it was so strong and overwhelming. It felt like an anchor was on top of my whole entire body just pushing deeper and deeper down on my body. God was amplifying the message this time for me to write, and I tried to obey but I had no time with my 8–5pm job, being a wife and taking care of my son. I prayed, fasted and asked God to give me a clear sign of what it is that I needed to do. Quit my job and start writing was the message that I received. Of course I was hesitant, quitting my job meant a loss of income and loss of security. I did not understand how God could be calling me to do something that was so radical but then I remembered that when God calls us to do something it seems impossible to us but He equips us with the tools needed to carry out His will. There are countless examples with the stories of Abraham, Moses, David, Joseph and so many others in the Bible. If God was able to take and equip them then why would He not do the same for me? So I quit my job and I have been writing and preparing to launch this very blog.

I believe that I can reach people with my words and spread God’s Word with it. Through the power and prompting of the Holy Spirit I just write what God puts on my heart. My hope and prayer is that God uses me and my words to reach and touch people’s lives. Whether they are already a Christian who might be struggling or an unbeliever who is looking for answers and someone to relate to. I do not know who I will reach or how God will use me but I do know that I am going to trust in Him and be obedient. Revelations 12:11 says “They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.” I just want to share my testimony with you in the hope that it encourages, blesses, and more importantly gives room for the Holy Spirit to work in your life. He can and He will! I’m living proof!
