The Tree That Lies

The tree on the mountain top lies they speak.
The lone tree stands in the most absurd of areas.
Atop of a towering mountain, it sways.
“Absurd lies” people would reply
Then how could they explain it?
In no other way by naming it “The Tree Of Lies.”
Anything people can’t comprehend is stamped as a mere myth.
During the spring, the trees adorn with flowers.
During the summer, it grows lush and green.
During the fall, its leaves turn yellow and fall.
During the winter, its baren.
Explain the normalness of this tree in the most unnormal of places.
The believers ventured to the summit to prove its honesty.
There it held that famous tree that supposedly didn’t exist.
This was a time of old.
These people did not know.
The shortage of oxygen got to them.
Oblivious, they deemed that the tree was cursed.
One of them vision obscured, toppled downhill a bit.
He left the others to die a supposed “cursed” death.
He miraculously survived.
But with his being began the tale of “The Tree That Lies.”
“When we set our gaze upon it, we started to decline gradually!
By some wonder, I Remain to inform you of its scourge!
It must have been fate…
Because without this information, another unbeknownst believer might die…
A death of lies”.
