Digital challenges for SMEs

Pietro Scott Jovane and the ELITE team discuss the impact of digital trends on fast-growing companies in traditional industries

A C-level executive with many years of experience in both high-tech and traditional businesses (spanning from the country head role at Microsoft Italy to CEO of RCS, the largest publishing house in Italy), Pietro Scott Jovane has a privileged observation deck on the evolution of the internet and its cross-industry disruptive force. Eventually, winners will emerge among SMEs who are able to act on the strategic, organizational and cultural levels with a consistent, digital-oriented pattern based on some common values like simplicity, attention to content and purpose, client-supplier trust and cross-industry openess. Values that need to be constantly pinned in the CEO agenda, avoiding the temptation to delegate the company’s digital development to a single officer.
