South Fulton Arrow Youth Council Rallies Community to Play4Peace
The South Fulton Arrow Youth Council, in partnership with the Atlanta Hawks and the WNBA Atlanta Dream, is calling on all schools, communities and youth organizations to gather at Philips Arena beginning at 1:30 p.m. on December 27 for Play4Peace ATL 2017.
The event aims to mobilize the community around anti-violence and anti-bullying messages and activities, and raise awareness and money for the organization’s Peace Projects which focus on education, combating poverty, wellness and mentorship.
The community-based, family event will include a rally, basketball competition, celebrity performances, remarks by elected officials and a recitation of the organization’s “Pledge for Peace,” followed by the Atlanta Hawks vs. Washington Wizards game at 7:30 p.m.
The South Fulton Arrow Youth Council is a leadership training organization that serves youth ages 5–22. Training areas include scholarship, civility, innovation, community service and social consciousness. The organization was voted Non-Profit of the Year in 2016 by the South Fulton Chamber of Commerce.
